If you live on a gravel road or have a gravel driveway, you know just how dusty the roads can get in the dry summers. Jefferson County Highway Department partners with Great Lakes Chloride Inc. each year to bring calcium chloride "dust control" to our County. Did you know you have the option to purchase additional dust control? The County provides residents, who live on County owned gravel roads, approximately 300 ft of dust control in front of their homes. You can purchase an additional 100ft for $134, plus tax. You can add however much dust control you’d like!
As of now, dust control is scheduled for the third week of June, weather permitting.
